My Workout Trainer provides a detailed diagram and video showing exactly how to calculate your body fat percentage with a fat caliper or tape measure. Just click on the camera or video icon, and you will see a diagram or video showing the exact locations to measure with your body fat caliper. If you're using a tape measure, My Workout Trainer explains how to take those measurements. Even if you've never done it before, My Workout Trainer will explain how to accurately and easily calculate your own body fat percentage.

Compare your measurements to your last calculation. My Workout Trainer displays your last recorded measurements so you can quickly and easily see how your measurements compare.

Knowing your body fat percentage is critical when trying to improve your body composition. For example, if you have 50 pounds in fat and 150 pounds in lean body weight, then your total body weight is 200 pounds. If you lose 2 pounds in fat and gain 3 pounds in muscle, now you weigh 201 pounds. By using a regular scale, you might think you gained fat. But with My Workout Trainer you will know you lost fat and gained muscle. Tracking body fat is the best way to improve your body composition.

Record your macronutrients. Enter how many grams of carbohydrates, fats, and protein you are eating. Then you will have a record of your macronutrients at the time of your body fat percentage measurement.

Body Composition Results
After entering your measurements, My Workout Trainer will calculate your body fat percentage, how many pounds/kilograms of your body is fat, how many pounds/kilograms of your body is lean body weight, and how many pounds/kilograms of fat you need to lose to reach your desired body fat percentage. In addition, My Workout Trainer composition screen has a body fat percentage chart to help you determine what your body fat percentage means to you.
